durbsguy
Evening Gents Does anyone have an idea where I can have a custom left handed sporter stock made? I have had several made by Lukas Parsley which unfortunately he has stopped doing. I am not overly keen on the Gin B stocks or Custom Stocks in Sheffield. Perhaps a bit of an off the wall response but maybe an idea, years back I wanted some advertising/promotional material designed for my company, so I went to the local Art College and had a chat, the upshot was a sensible/real project for the students, logical teaching and the selected option got £20, saved me a fortune and provided a community service! Any woodwork colleges near you???

Any woodwork colleges near you??? Doubt whether the average woodworking college would have the tools or understanding to make a useable gun stock, they're more about building roofs or first and second fix or making joinery such as doors and windows. durbsguy
Cheers Guys In regards to finding a wood working student to make a stock would be the ultimate as I have a couple stock blanks of Turkish Walnut which was my grandfathers either that or I have an off cut from my redoing the kitchen counter tops which looks pretty the same. I'll sound things out with Gary Cane and Paul Wilson and see if they'd work from my blanks and show the the fruits of my endeavours.
