Hi i was wondering how long a Pigeon will last good enough to eat in winter ? I know in summer they dont last very long. And also how long do they last if i was to freeze them. Thanks

in the feather and kept under 6'c about 10 days if gutted and feather off and in the fridge about 5 days if frozen as long as you want 1 year+

There many Pigeons round Rainford ? Ive never seen as many round my end. People reckon its been 30 years sinse they have seen as many !

 

 

Not really a lot where I shoot. More often than not they all keep away from me. I have a friend that lives not too far from Chorley I don't think he has Pigeon in any numbers.

I live near Croston and there everywere ! They leave the woods about 8:10 the come back about 3:30 Brilliant to see !!!!

Frozen properly, covered with clingfilm or foil with as much air taken out of the bag, they will last 12 months easily.

 

Cheers mate. If there just in the fridge for a couple of days then cooked but not eaten will they last a bit longer like chicken ? Saying that ive never had cold pigeon so not sure if its nice or not !
