Actionpigeons
My shooting partner and I where shooting over near Measham on some new stubble last year. A young peregrine came down on one of the dead pigeon we had put out as decoys. It sat for a min before leaving empty handed, I think the magnet spooked her. Pity it left without the pigeon as it must have been starving to hit a pigeon on the ground. Lovely to see, as I am a keen falconer.
Dr D
I've seen peregrines, buzzards and sparrowhawks all hitting the decoys and bouncers. Not that uncommon, but nothing like the sound of peregrine close quarters coming in from a stoop. Absolutely amazing.
labstaff
First time I saw a buzzard me and a mate were decoying. It was up high and dropping fast until it got to about 20ft above the deeks and we think the sun glinted off the decoy and spooked it. Magical to see though!
