reggiegun
Hi, Been seeing a few fox's on the pheasant drives at my shoot, have been lamping at night and not seen any sign of Charlie the last two weeks. So decided to try early morning mooch, my mate and I arrived at the shoot about 5.50am still dark so took the lamp. Got to about the third field in and my mate Steviboy lamped the large grass field, couldn't believe what was there pair of fox's knotted together, trouble was they were end to end so couldn't work out which was the vixen, any way shot one of them, you heard the impact and straight away they split and the other one ran of. Stayed around for a while to see if the other came back, but no such luck. Walked up to the fox and sod's law it was the dog fox. Anyway back to the car and we drove to the other end of the shoot. This is a large maize stubble field which has shown a few Charlies in the past, it is light now so we set up under a couple of trees. We waited then steviboy seen a fox at the far end of the field walking towards the river, this field is great as you are shooting down into a bank so have a safe shot in all of the field, anyway let rip with 55gr V max home load and that another fox in the bag. Well chuffed. The picture with my two fingers up is for two fox's not the V sign. Cheers Reggiegun.

reggiegun
Good going there. I'm planning on going out in the morning after a fox what time you reckon I'd want to be in place by? Ireland's Finest, I would say an hour before first light and do your homework first as you don't want to be moving around to much in the day light.
