whats your prefered structure and density?

flake, ball, granules, kernels, rods?

i prefer either small flake, or rods. i have had problems with small flake leaking every where.

i tend to get more variation with large flake.

leaking from where mate

Ian.

leaking from the top of the bar. i did a re-adjustment of the brass ring, i think it fell off when i did a drop check.

it was either that, or static electricity.

You're a propellant nerd

I don't care as long as it goes bang and lead comes out of the barrel :P

do you have a minimum / max speed you like to use?

Disc!

i`ve used a low density large disc and its awful to meter, the higher density / smaller stuff is alot better. although if it meters good, its good to go.

Although I have six progressives and ten other presses, I have not 'dropped' propellant since 1993. I got fed up of leakage, 'sticking' and 'bridging' of the powders! All my reloading is carried out using pre-powdered/wadded shells. It may take a little longer, but, hey, home-loading is a passion!

Talk us through that, are you putting the powder in by hand, gauging it by using scoop or weighing each amount?

yeah, sometimes it takes me ages to get started, but its relaxing, best done when less agitated, its better than eastenders or corrie.
