Hi, Looking to get a new pup but the wife has a worry. We have a springer that is 8 years old and other than my shooting partners dogs has had little to do with other dogs. Our springer is a bit loopy but as soft as a brush realy, any thoughts how she may cope with a new pup on the scene? I'm sure she will be fine but any of you guy's had any bad experiences?

8's not that old pal! I got a wirehaired vizsla pup in July and my 11 year old lurcher gets on great with her - He's getting long in the tooth and not up for much vigorous playing so the pup ends up frustrated as he wont play. I'm sure they will get on fine, might take a week or so for them to find their boundaries with each other though (ie how far can the pup push the older dog!)
