Running a new gun in??

Some people run in full-bore rifles by cleaning the barrel every few shots, gradually extending the cleaning intervals as the barrel "seasons". So they might shoot one, clean it, etc for the first 10 shots, then shoot five, clean it, for the next 50 shots and so on.

I'm not sure it's that important for a HMR.

you can over clean a barrel i use to use copper solvent /rods / brushes but it took me 100 bullets to get it back on song for my hmr

no need for it

so i just bore snake it every 200 shots approx

but do make sure the moderator is kept clean every 200 shots you will be suprised how much crud is in there

just strip it and pour boiling water over it and let it dry

there is no need for all these solvents

i have had no probs when doing this
