Medic1281
I've had a problem fox around here for several weeks now. He wiped out my half dozen chickens some time ago and recently a local farm has lost 30 - 40 chickens. 3 days ago I noticed fresh chicken feathers next to a bonfire scar in my garden. That night I got a glimps of him in the garden before he quickly bolted into the orchard. My friend and I spent most of that night walking and lampung local fields looking for him but with no success. Well tonight I get home from work and decide to clean the rifle. Just about to put it away again when I decide to have a quick shine out of the bedroom window with my new led lamp. The bedroom overlooks my garden and the spot where I've seen the feathers. Well I mounted the lamp to the gun, opened the window and lit the garden up. I instantly see a orange set of eyes staring back. Off goes the lamp, in goes the magazine and chamber a round. I light up the garden again and see the big dog fox curled up on the ash of last weeks bonfire. I centre the cross hairs between the eyes and squeeze off the shot. 1dead fox!! From deciding to have a look for the fox to dispatching the fox didn't take anymore than 2 minutes, definitely the quickest fox hunt I've ever had!! Medic1281
Thanks. I think it was a big surprise for both me and the fox. Been wanting to get him for ages though. Might look at restocking the chicken pen now too. Phil

Medic1281
Just what is it with people on here waving guns out of windows! :look: I Understand your concern. I should of mentioned that my house is basically in the middle of nowhere. My nearest neighbours are about 400yrds away in the opposite direction. My garden is 1.4 acres and backs directly onto my permission of approx 200 acres. If anything about it had been unsafe then I wouldn't have done it!
