Lord Geordie
I think it will depend.on your NV as I was reading NV lasers are no good with gen 2+3? Not sure if this is accurate info but I went IR laser on my gen1 and what a difference. It was like flicking on a light switch.
hawkeye
Well i have both a n1000 lazer and a dipol lazer and they both work brilliant with my gen 3 add on and i can see to shoot out to over 300 yds if need be but most of my fox's are shot under 200 yds but can pick the eyes up quite a long way away.. Like I say it had read it on tinternet but being a reliable qoute is questionable You just need to be careful you don't flick your laser on when looking through your nv and when looking bounce the laser off a close object like a shed ,as it will flare up and could damage your nv tube. I use gen2+ and have had no problems, and my shooting partner uses gen 3 with a laser.
bennyblanco
I use a gen2 and laser and its excellent, a lamp will damage your tube if you shine it at the floor in front of you-a laser will just do it quicker as its brighter. They are so much more practical too, a laser is the size of your middle finger and lamps are big and cumbersome with cables and battery packs.
