pete k
hi there guys just thought i would share a experience that i had on monday , on sunday got some more land to shoot and went for a look around a saw lots of rabbits but the owner said he keeps getting foxes killing his chickens and geese , so return on monday at about 9pm to have a go at the bunnys only to find the owner and his wife in a bit of a state as 2 foxes had killed 6 more birds at about 6.30pm , so get the shottie out (dad does) and have a look around only to spot 6 foxes all together at the bottom of a slight hill sunning them selves , dad then creeps down the hedge line while i stay up the top and watch through the scope when all of a sudden three shots from the auto and three dead foxes also shot a fourth but move into the hedge to far to get to , to say the owners were pleased was an under statement will be back tommorrow night with the lamp , the shot foxes were the cubs but the vixen and dog fox are still about , anyone else had this sort of thing happen , pete
Frank
anyone else had this sort of thing happen , pete Yes a few times. It is vitally important, that the dog and vixen are got too. Otherwise, the chickhens will be all gone. Frank.
karl h
I agree it is very important the adults are now got. I once shot three cubs as well that night a fox got in to my old dears chickens killed forty of them then got in to 2 pheasant laying pens and killed just over 200 birds did not take one just nipped all the heads off. It is said that they will go for revenge
henry d
If you get the chance always get the Vixen,as they say " Ladies First " ,the cubs will return to mum and the dog is a possibility at some later stage
Ferret Master
Hi, We lost a chicken again today to the fox. It was a chicken that we got off a friend when she could not look after her trio any more. I saw it about 200 yards away from me in the field when I was after rabbits with the air rifle. He will not hit the snares, he will not go in the trap. NOTHING! FM

pete k
went out last nite and sat waiting for 2 hours with nothing happening so set off back to car only for the dog fox to run out in-front of me which i did not expect , brought the gun to bear on him and bang with a big ball of flame out the end (it was dark) the fox jumped about 2 foot off the ground and ran in circles but then like linford christie he was up and going like the wind across the neighbours garden over the dual carrigeway and gone , bloody shame as he was a big old fox , will see if he`s back tommorrow nite . pete
