A Squirrels Tale

One bright sunny day Gary grey squirrel was sitting in his favourite apple tree, slowly killing by stripping it of it's bark. Suddenly Gary saw a small movement, he looked carefully but couldn't see what had moved. Cautiously Gary went back to torturing his tree. There it was again! Gary moved on to another branch to get a better look IT WAS A HUMAN!! Gary was incensed, how dare a human invade HIS territory!. So, rather than beating a hasty retreat as would most sensible squirrels, Gary climbed out on to a prominant branch a told the human exactly what he thought of him.

"Have that you little B******" said Steve the hunter, as he placed the .22 Accupel squarely between Gary's beady little eyes, spreading Gary's brains all over his favourite tree. And everyone lived happily ever after...........Except Gary ,of course, Who was absolutely delicious fried with shallots and served on a bed of young salad leaves.

The End.

Never heard that! TB is a bacterial infection found usually in the respiratory system, once cooked properly there should be no problem; the heat will kill any bacteria present in the meat. I would imagine that the biggest risk (if there is a risk) is when dressing the squirrel and removing the lungs etc plus I would hope you would have recieved your BCG vaccination at school

and bipolar right about the TB u shud hav all had injections against it anyway. but once meat is cooked all bacteria on it is killed as bacteria cannot stand heat so there is nothing to worry about

As a nurse (and I really am!) I would advise that if you haven't yet got your BCG then get it unless you want to be on long term antibiotics (we are talking months possibly years!!) :good: also Tetanus, I have seen the incidents of TB go up and up over the years it isn’t a disease of the past. :sly::sly:

I have the prefect Addition to this post. My new poem

The Squirrel.

There once was a big grey squirrel,

Known by the locals as Cirril,

Who enjoyed munching the bark of a tree.

Be it spring, summer or winter,

He would turn wood to splinter,

Not a care for the world yet to be.

Due Diligent and witty,

He hath not any pity,

For the Red he supressed long ago.

A disorder uncontrolled,

A difficulty unpatrolled,

Who will stop this unwieldy foe?

The morning glint of a scope,

The sign of a new hope,

Signals the end of a low.

A gentle squeeze of the trigger,

With a Silhouette-gun figure,

Finalises the much needed blow...

Hope its not too cliche to the magpie

i have just left skool after doing my exams and were never given a tb jab? where can i get one

Go to your GP Practice book in to see the Practice Nurse and dicuss it with her/him, you will have to recieve the BCG test first, a small sample of dead TB is scratched onto the skin and wait a few days for a reaction to occur dependent on the reaction you will then recieve the BCG jab Ouch! :)
