mel b3
i was talking to a guy i work with last week , he'd just had a new tattoo on his chest (he's been collecting them for 20yrs) and he reckoned it was almost painless now, i believe you can even have cream/spray to numb the area to be tattooed these days , i suppose as time goes on techniques improve and get less painfull , tattoos are certainly more artistic than when i got mine put on but then again it used to be more about taking the pain than admiring the art , i can remember a tattooist named rat in a parlour in wales applying for permission to carry out scarification but the local council turned him down . when i sat in the chair to get my first tattoo i asked the tattoist if they hurt ? , his reply was " if it don't hurt mush there's somethin the matter with ya"
Browning GTS
Ive got 4 the most painfull was a wrist band, it was the area on the inside of the wrist that hurt the most. where it goes over the vains
tattoo terry
most say "they don't hurt , no not one bit", but thats usually after its done! the area to be tattooed can vary greatly in "sensation" but also the way different peoples pain thresholds respond to being tattooing vary greatly,if someones nice and relaxed had a good sleep the night before then its usually fine for them if they come in tired , hung over etc it aint the greatest experience for them but that cutting **** should not be lumped in with tattooing terry
lurcherboy
As someone who doesn't have any and never will, can those that do answer me this.. Why do people never seem to have just one? Do you get hooked on having them done? Just curious, you see people like David Beckham and Robbie Williams and they seem addicted to it. Beckham and all the other nobs are dabbling. When your tats are uncountable because they are one you can say your are addicted. It's like owning guns SP, You can have one, or you can have one for this discipline and one for that. I have exercised restraint for 20 odd years but I have a scrapbook of the ones I was ready for. If I had gone for it it would have the equivalent of a surfers drysuit and been happily divorced by now. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing. Saved 1000's of ?'s though. I`ve just got one...............however I would have had more but in the `80`s something was occuring so I didn`t have any more.I now have been a blood donor for many years and am now switching to platelet donation as i believe it`s better to give than receive(no comments please )
