Kes
As per the title. Rotates fully about once every 3 seconds when connected to the battery directly. Strange binding sound as it rotates when connected through speed controller to battery. Cant see how to easily remove motor from frame as 'turntable' on the top appears to screw into the rotor which comes from beneath. Took the base clips off (4) the bottom to expose the worm gear and wheel and removed old, hard grease and WD40'd it, wiped clean and replaced grease. Any ideas why its making the noise and how to dismantle fully from the frame? Cheers guys
TaxiDriver
A photo would probably help ?
fielddweller
Most motors will have a small rectangular hole in the casing, generally near the top(about this size =)Push a screw driver into the slot to lock the motor and you should be able to unscrew the arm plate from the motor. You will be able to feel the resistence if your have locked the motor. webber
Check that the battery is peoduceing 12 volts. The output shaft runs in an oilite bush, lubricate with WD40 or similar. webber
