Luckyshot
After Friday Nights shooting I decided to go to one of my regular rabbit farms. These rabbits are very lamp shy so for a quick mooch withb the lamp you normally only come away with a dozen or so. I took the NV again on my HMR and walked the first 3 fields of this farm 70 acres out of the 1200 acres available. There were litteraly rabbits everywhere and within the first hour I already had 30 rabbits down. After quickly gutting these I shot a further 20 and decided to go to another farm to check on the Hare situation. I picked of 4 hares just whilst walking down the track to the farm house. You can only give so many rabbits away so I called it a night having shot 97 rabbits and 5 hares in 2 nights.

grasshopper
You'll have some monster foxes about then..with all of them rabbit/Hare puddings to feast on. Get back and wait for them :yp: These Archers make it so unfair don't they? Edited February 27, 2012 by grasshopper
DR JAMES
Very Well Done, Good Shooting - Guess the MIXIE & Wet/Cold Weather has had no or little affect on the rabbits around your way, wish this was the case on all of mine/M8`s permisions. We are having to look for them but your right about useing the lamp or NV. Since x2 of my M8`s have NV 550`s Pulsar we have shot more per night but still having to look for them. Got a lot of Fox`s lately thought.

Only ever get mixie in the summer on my ground but there are that many rabbits it has little effect on the population plus very few of them seem to die from it, I would say at least 70% live through it as when you shoot them later on you can tell by the scars on their faces which have had mixie and which havent.
