shooting from your week shoulder

I went clay shooting with a mate yesterday and put in a really bad score so on the last stand I thought I'd have a co shooting from my left shoulder. The recoil took me by surprise but even more surprising was the fact that I hit 4 targets from the 3 pairs thrown.

I should have tried it from the start.

I do it a lot I'm left handed but right eye dominant so normaly shoot from the right shoulder, but if I think I'd stand a better chance shooting from the left I switch and close my dominant eye. I also have a tendency to switch if I'm out on the marsh with the heavy artillery and having a good flight, the dog has also got used to it and will switch sides to suit.

I do it just to do it. It's another technique in the arsenal. There could be a particular clay or bird that is more suited for your weak shoulder... All in favour or practicing weak shoulder. Maybe I'm bias as I also shoot practical where you have no choice really...plus from the hip (which I've used in the hide to great avail)

Give it a go people

This is why I gave it a go as I'm wanting to start shooting PSG and I knew shooting from your week shoulder is a requirement.
