hcarlos
As per Title i have ordered a rotary and wondered what battery i will need (there is a local maplins to me if anyone used them). And if its 100% for a speed control to be used many thanks in advance
motty
I would go for a minimum of a 17ah battery. Speed controls are not essential, i don't use one.
RAMMER BURT
i have a 17ah batt and it just about last all day also take a spare but leave it in the car,i dont use a speed controller either
Cosd
Magnets draw approximately 2amps per hour, so if you take the 17amp as recomended that would give you over 8 hours use. If you use a speed controller to slow it down (I need to if using Hyperflaps otherwise it's way too fast) then that helps with consumption and the battery will last even longer. stace1g
I've got a 20ah with no speed controller. It blew but to be honest I always used it flat out anyway Gaz
