marsh fox
I have been told that someone is looking at coating lead shot for waterfowling its been in the shooting press over here as anyone read anything about this i dont get any mags at all. Even if this is done do you think they whould acept it as its still lead at the end of the day isnt it.
Chael
Isn't this this same as what you are talking about, only a couple of posts down? http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=19899
Markio
Yeah the T-Coated jobbies. It is still lead but the point is that lead will (or should!) never come in contact with anything due to the coating. I can't rememeber what the life of that coating is. Also i believe it is safe for birds in ingest the shot without the harm cause by standard lead shot.

Hunter
I doubt any kind of coating can stick to shot after being fired from a barrel at 1400fps. Heat, Friction, Defermation would lead to extreme wear on the thin coating.. I very much doubt they will get away with it. Any deformed shot after firing would have the lead exposed

I'm not saying it works blah blah blah but just trying to recall what i've read.
