HDAV
Is it an oiled or hard coat finish? If oiled it's easier to improve the small dents can be lifted with steam and then re oiled
Bleeh
Dents can be taken out with a process using an Iron and a wet towel, I'm not sure of the details but I'm sure someone can fill you in on the rest.
BerettaSV10
Dont use gun oil on the wood as it will cause the wood to go spongy. There are basically 2 types of oil for a gun, one type for the metal work and another type (stock oil) for the woodwork. Shropshire_Lad
Steaming with a hot iron over a wet cloth will raise some fare old dings, I know as my work buddy slipped off a draw dowl friday afternoon while thrashing it in an oak newel post on a stair case we were fitting :o The hammer head hit in the middle of the post edge on and left a dent about 6 or 7 mill deep. I steamed it up to nearly flush this morning and it sanded out without leaveing a mark so usual gun nocks and dents should be no problem to sort out as long as no wood has been chipped off. atvb Paul.
