For those of you who dont get it, Shooting Times Magazine is giving away 175 pairs of tickets to visit the new Olympic Shooting venue to see some of our top shooting stars in action at the ISSF World Cup in April (19th-27th)

The tickets are first come first served so get in quick, you can even pick your prefered day. details are in the last two or three mags.

I've applied for mine and hope to see Richard Faulds shooting Double Trap on the 23rd.

NGB? Excuse my ignorance. Could be a good idea, just depends on the cost of transport.

National governing body I am sure Brittish shooting would do all they could to accommodate a school party Oddjob perhaps even offer parking at the venue?

Sickening as it is for shooters who are interested in seeing shooting at levels that most of us will never achieve, LOCOG have stated that the Test Event is to test the shooting facilities and not the Spectator facilities. Additionally, most of us did not get tickets to the Olympic Shooting events in the 'Lottery' and will rely on National TV and the ISSF website videos posted on Youtube (ISSF Youtube Channel) to show us what happens at International Shooting competitions.

From a financial viewpoint, the cost of ensuring a full compliment of support staff to cater for a few thousand spectators each day, may have outweighed the income from the tickets sold. The NSRA, BICTSF & NRA members were allowed to request the few remaining tickets. (I do find it interesting that the NRA members were allowed to request tickets, even though their members really do not compete in Olympic disciplines. Perhaps it was due to their full bore elements?)

It is a lost opportunity for us all.

Best regards to all

Erm there are tickets available through the NGB's (National governing Bodies) and possibly direct from Brittish Shooting if not an NGB member.

I guess the thinking is who on earth would want to watch shooting who isn't a member of an NGB? I guess everyone with tickets to every event must be members of the NGB I mean who wants to watch people run in circles ??? pointless or what!
