yankeedoodlepigeon
I suppose that would depend on what you caught or intended to catch.

vulpicide
If you do snare it how are you going to Humanely kill it and watch out for neighbours :yp:
Grandalf
Legal - Probably. Sensible - Probably not. Got some in my garden around the chicken run - Nearest neighbour nearly half a mile away and he's got chickens too - So no problem for me. Ackley
rimfire in your garden? yes mate, but dispatching a fox held in a snare isnt really shooting is it,muzzle held to the back of the head. Open ticket and if safe yes he can. We don't know where he lives so can not judge/ say quite true
CharlieT
It is not illegal per se, however should problems arise the DEFRA code of practice would be cited and it would be wise to familiarise yourself with it. This is the relevant section as far as you are concerned.....note the reference to near housing. Domestic pets: Snares must not be set on or near public footpaths, rights of way, near housing and areas regularly used for exercising domestic animals to avoid capturing pets.
