Livefast123
I'm a probationary member at a full bore rifle club at the mo, only a couple of months left until full membership! Benefits for me are that it gets me out of the house and away from the family for a few hours on a Sunday for some 'man' time, I get to chat with lots of like minded people who enjoy what I do, there is a variety of experience to answer questions etc and finally lots of people offer you to have a shot of their large weapons! MattF
There is big benefits of been a member of a club besides its some where to unwind and talk to people with the same interests but there is always a wealth of knowledge to help you and you them. Which club are you going to visit ?

Which club are you going to visit ? I can second this, Me and the gaffer are both in same club as MattF. It is great fun and as said the shared knowledge is well worth it. I have learned so much from other members and now can enjoy the sport so much more. Go for it. atb HB

Blackstone
You will have to keep your guns and ammunition locked up in a gun cabinet if there are children around in the house. How to handle the issue of shooting with young children, I guess it would be a case of 'explain if asked about'.
