Cranfield
I went clay shooting with meandassey and Dead-eye-****. on Saturday afternoon. There were some Gamebore Clear Pigeon 30gm, fel wad, No6 shot cartridges mixed up with my XLR No 7,s and I used them on the clays. It was very noticeable that they threw up a lot more smoke than the XLRs. They worked OK and broke any clays that I hit. I,ve never thought of Clear Pigeon as a "smoky" cartridge before. I know a lot of the members here use them. Have you noticed that they "smoke" ?

philapper
I generally find felt wads to be smokier than plastic, it may be that the felt burns more on ignition. while on the subject, i got a batch of express super game 5's by mistake (usually get 6's), best cartridge I've ever used in the field. not so successful on the skeet range
