a old friend (now 85) showed me this method of decoying that he used over 40 years ago - i tried it last week and it worked better than anything i have tried before. i used 2 lengths of sprung steel, about 2 foot long and some very fine strong string - about 4 foot long. put a pigeon cradle in the middle of the string, then tie a rubber band to each side of the cradle so you can slide a lengh of steel to hold the crow's wings open, then find the balance. put a long rubber band at the top of the cradle then use a length of string and an anchor peg for the balance - the rubber band enables the bird to "wobble"
