Aaz
I have one in .177 and they're good value for money. They can benefit from a strip, polish and relube even from new but they're good rifles

zipdog
i had one and everything that could go wrong did, i was not very impressed with mine and managed to achieve good groups. I would save up a bit more and buy a weirhrauch, much better gun with much better build quality!
washerboy
not a big fan, but then again i dont like lightweight guns. i find they kick like mules, triggers are ****. i would look for a hw95k or a british made 2nd hand webley

Ive seen a few 95s for sale on gunstar tho. Just picked up a nice HW95 for 180 inc scope and bag, dont pay more than 200 for a S/H one as new ones can be had for 260 if you really haggle, s/h scopes are 10 a penny, £20 will get a nice hawke 3-9x40, .22 best for springers sub 12ftlb, here we go just sparked another debate!! washerboy
If your not bothered about a silencer then look for a hw99s, the same great trigger, lightweight and have open sights. these can be picked up cheaper and will out last the bsa, also can be tuned for smoothness

washerboy
you can buy a silencer for the hw99s, its a push on one. The new style 95k has a screw on type fitted(older ones have a muzzle break locked on) the new 80k are the same The hw 97 are fitted with them but these are heavyer and underlevers..and not in your budget(unless you find a shabby mk1) The trusty old hw35 is worth looking for, cheap and can be tuned
washerboy
A webley longbow from 4 or more yrs ago will be british made and worth looking out for. venom based there tuned guns on these as well as the hw80 and
