eltel
Sorry to go off topic, I'm very new to this and am trying to learn the ropes, @fenboy, why can't you shoot over clover?
bakerboy
Sorry to go off topic, I'm very new to this and am trying to learn the ropes, @fenboy, why can't you shoot over clover? I think because there is very little grassland in Fenboys area. Where about are you based?
fenboy
Yes terry is right , very little land is put to grass in my area and no clover is grown as feed either ,thats why I cant shoot on it

fenboy
I'm nr Newmarket (red lodge) but shoot in cambs areas, but I'm still confused, why don't you shoot over clover? Why don't we want clover ( I could take a punt on the fact that it returns nitrogen to the soil, but I'm here with baited breath?!) cheers all ;-) I thought this question has been already answered in quite simplistic terms , but I will spell it out again. I dont shoot over clover because there is no clover here to shoot over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eltel
Haha I misread it, then I tried to amend it so no one would notice what a stupid question it was! My appologies
bakerboy
do u set up same as rape shooting am new to this so dont know. all so can i use magnet.? I shoot over Grass and Clover a lot, and set out exactly as per normmal for rape etc. I do use a magnet but as always some days the the magnet and the pigeons have the same polarity other days they have the opposite Get a little movement in the pattern, I prefer peckers rather than flappers for clover. Denys dippers are pretty good for this, and very cheap. Edited April 7, 2012 by bakerboy
