yes good choice I shoot one of these my dad bought it brand new 30 years ago now I use it for pheasant, pigeon, duck rabbits just all round shooting and would not swap it i did buy a 687 but sold it cos did not find it as well balanced as the 686 :good:

I've got one too. Myself and a mate have put loads of shells through it on clays and I use it for rough shooting and decoying. A top bit of kit. :good: It's never let me down and has worked in all conditions. My mate was so impressed, he's bought a 687, (he doesn't like killing things, so just shoots clays).

A lot of threads on here have praised it and I haven't seen too many negative ones. A good buy :good:

Most shooting schools use them, and very few guns get more of a hmmering than those 5-6 days a week, so that should tell you lot.

 

I started with one, and then bought a 687 as I found the 686 a little bit too light (it was 28" and the 687 is a 30") - so opposite to Karl H :good:
