went out tonight looking for a buck arrived at 7.30pm a bit late but thought i would give it a go anyway got the rifle out and headed off through the first wood to a field of beans that i have seen plent of signs of deer movement on . i got to the edge of the field and there was 4 doe,s feeding about 200 yards up the right hand edge of the field so settled down to see if a buck would show face after about 10 min i spotted movenemt just inside the wood and then a buck walked out into the field about 100 yards further up the field from the doe,s .

i sat and watched it move down the field towards me it passed the doe,s not giving them a second glance and then wandered back to the edge of the wood all the time not offering any decent shot then it hopped into the wood and my heart sank .after 5 min it reappered on the edge of the wood 150 yards from me and wandered back out into the field this time it turned broad side on to me and presented me with a nice shot whitch it took and the sako 55gr dropped it on the spot . i cleaned it and made my way back to the car to get the camera that i had forgot to lift  it weighed 42lb a nice buck to start the season

Well done! What's the name of those Remington rounds? I was going to set up my .22-250 with sako game heads or a soft point but I normally prefer BTips :good:

i use sako 55 gr game heads and would not use anything else quite dear but a great round buddy
