ging125
Right I'm in a dilemma!!! Variation for 243 has landed on the door step, I have been to several gun shops looking for a new gun but I can't make my mind up now! Think I have seen too many!! £800 gun only budget Howa 1500 was a nice gun and well within budget and could afford it in stainless Remy 700 sps again like this one but unsure of build quality- are u paying for the name? But did feel nice to shoulder! Browning a-bolt uk stalker again like this gun but not too sure if I should spend a bit more and get a x-bolt Should I go over budget and bite into glass fund to make any of the above stainless? This is the shortlist I think, all opinions are welcome, just need a little help to make my mind up! Thanks in advance!!
Thedeerman
I asked the same question a week or two ago. I went to a shop and handled everything in my price range. I've decided on a Browning X-bolt synthetic stainless with fluted barrel, Simpsons of Shepshed will sell you one for £780 new. I love the feel of the X-bolt and the safety and bolt are brilliant! aister
if it were me, i would go for the browning x-bolt

pat g
I have a 243 Howa but if your budget is £800 for rifle only have you considered a Tikka T3. Lovely, quality rifle and best of the bunch IMO ATB, Pat
soother223
i got a browning a bolt shoots really well.. trigger a little heavy but after some research it seems you can get some lighter springs for around £30. i'm also on the stalking directory an everyone seems to love the t3 on there & got to be honest i'm starting to fancy one myself!.... 12borejimbo
Scrap all those, if u have 800 notes get a Tikka T3, or second hand, Sako 75/85 or Tikka M595 !!!!! stick a Schmidt and bender 8x56 ontop and you have a nice stalking and mid range foxing rifle!
