12borejimbo
Ive had my eye on the market and found a Ford Ranger near me for £1500 with 6 months MOT and no tax. Drives fine, needs the solenoid doing but not a problem. Got 180k on the clock but no service history. Im thinking about buying it and keeping it until it goes bang. Would you buy it? Ive got a vitara which is ok but not big enough for me.

I havnt seen it, just spoke on the phone. SO havent driven it? How do you know it is the soleniod and not something else? More expensive..... with no history you should give it a full service when you get it so thats another couple of hundred quid. Do they need Cam belts? Where has it come from how many owners? I would be cautious and get it checked over before parting with cash, is it a private sale?

I havnt got 2650 mate otherwise I would buy a newer model, hence why I'm buying a truck for £1500!
