  2. We had a day out with fenny Sunday on the pigeons over wheat stubble, met up at 8am quick chat and off to the spot he had found for us, he had already been out and done a recce to see where the birds would be, when we arrived at the spot there were two great flight lines and plenty of birds about. We set up in a old ditch with patterns either side of us, the birds decoyed well to them and we had a great days sport, ending on 70 birds picked, to one gun shared......as we forgot to bring the other with us.....doh! So cheers fenny for a great day and making sure that we had great shooting. yis SN
  3. Littering in any form is one of my biggest annoyances, just no need for it, in the street of fields, always use fibre wads personally, I often clean up other people's empties that I find....just can't leave them as it bugs me so much.
  4. Some cracking shooting there. Thanks for sharing.
  5. I've been wing shooting in South Africa which involved flighting doves, walked up quail and franklin, duck flighting over dams, goose decoying and also rifle shooting-whichever species you wish to pay for.... Was a very good holiday.
  6. I know what you're saying! But time for some of the finer things in my hunting transport! The overall opinion is that they are a good vehicle, as long as the have a full service history they should go on for a lot of miles. Thanks for the replies so far guys.
  7. I'm just on the verge of buying a volvo XC70 2006 as my shooting/dog vehicle, I'm starting to get tired of the niggling problems on the 300tdi and also I'm traveling a lot more now, so I'm after some nice comforts! Anyway, I'll be starting to view cars this w-end, I've googled them but info is limited. Anything that I should look for? Anyone got expectancies with one, good or bad? Thanks in advance for any advice. SN
  8. I done some beating on a 350acre shoot and they would put down 2500 birds a season.
  9. What's you're location as I'm on a mobile?

  12. My pals lad has a full gun this season at 11 yrs old, will be 12 in the middle of the season. He will show up alot of shots i have no doubt, and has shot on the line since he was 10, his gun safety and etiquette is far better than a lot of adults I've shot along side.
  13. My friends lad is 11 yrs old, has a SGC and regularly hits 60-70 out of 100 sporting and I have shot with him in hides and on driven pheasant shoots and would class him as one of the safest and most sensible shots I know, depends on the indavidual I would say.
  14. What sort of stuff Luke? That's my neck of the woods and I run an electrical Buisness, PM of you prefer.
  15. Awesome video as usual Si, are those turret wraps on the sightron? I'm looking in to getting the s3 8-32x56 with the MOA 2 ret for my .204, any thoughts on my choice before I part with my cash? Regards SN
  16. So 3 phases at 60amps, Boiler uses 9kw per phase, 9000w/230v=39amps approx This leaves 21amps per phase, i.e 63 amps, so as long as you correctly balence out the loadings across the remaining phases you have plenty of power, hope this helps. Obviously get a qualified electrician to carry out and certify the said works, 3 phase is VERY dangerous. And a 400v shock is more often than not is deadly. Regards SN
  17. The police will 'maybe' come out and by the time they do, the poachers will be long gone. Be very wary approching these types my friend. Hope you sort the problem out. Regards SN
  18. Hard to fit in a jar of meths if you don't! Lol
  19. Presuming that it is already removed from the bone, then just soak it in methylated spirits for 5-6 weeks, then remove dry and done. Regards SN
  20. Run a 6mm armoured cable on a 40amp mcb into a 40amp RCD two war consumer unit with a 6amp mcb for the lighting circuit and a 32amp mcb for the sockets on a ring circuit, this will give you enough for your heater and bits. MAKE SURE IT IS RCD PROTECTED. This will have to be certified under Part P also, as per regulations.
  21. A fine animal, one which I tend not to shoot myself either.

Not sure where abouts you are but my friend has a litter just born in berks
  23. See muntjac around the perimeter of heathrow airport all the time, they get everywhere, had the terriers push them from cover when rabbiting in parks within London also.

    RC40s

They will be lead, as far as I'm aware RC do not do steel loads. As for shooting RC40's through your gun I use them through all my guns and I mostly shoot x-full with no problems, and as soon as I pick up my HPX they'll be getting chucked through that also, if it's proofed it's good.
