Devon Fox
As an avid UTD fan I have to say the better team won on the night. I think Fergie's team selection was the difference where he dropped four of our brightest players in Valencia, Young, Wellbeck and Da Silva leaving the team without any width and attacking threat; Basically saying to City "we're scared of you"! I couldn't understand it, but who am I to argue..... City are in the driving seat now and I don't expect them to mess up against Newcastle. UTD need to do what they should have done in the summer and strengthen central midfield, last night's team selection showed Fergie doesn't trust it in the middle. Cos I agree Cos, this central mid field situation has left me baffled,it's been obvious for a long time that it needs sorting, I guess it's finding the right player at the right money, where are the Robsons and Keans nowadays? Fergie is not one to panic buy, let's see what the summer brings in as we aren't a million miles away from a great side again.
Fisherman Mike
Yep old rednose has definitely lost the plot and should retire and make way for a younger man. Granted he’s been successful in the past but last night’s team selection was baffling. Going for a draw when a win would have sealed the title. Giggs, Sholes, Ferdinand, Carrick and Park should never have started. City only scored one goal but there Midfield dominated throughout, was Rooney playing ??. Toure made Carrick and Scholes look so slow and yet he’s not even regarded as the quickest in the team…and Joe hart looked bored witless didn’t even get is gloves dirty ! Yep Bombed out of the Champions league and now the title due to Fergusons massive ego I’m afraid. Time to Garage the Old Banger and get a modern model in. And what was that acrimonious guttural exchange on the touchline all about….seems Fergy can dish it out but can’t take it.. He needs to remember He’s a Peer of the Realm and act with more decorum. Good win from the team from Manchester though and they should see of Newcastle no problem, whereas United will struggle at home against Swansea who are in a comfortable position to be able to play some football. Rodgers will have them fired up for what will be their seasons Cup Final. 2-1 to Swansea. By 6 O’clock next Sunday the title will be Cities and the whole of Manchester will be celebrating. Ireland's Finest!
Really disappointed with last nights game. We could so easily have gotten a draw out of it. Just one mistake by smalling cost us the game. It was a really scray game with neither team taking control. Not that I'm blaming smalling overall tho because we should never have let this game be so important. Looks like city have it now, but if newcastle beat us 3-0 why couldn't they beat city? If we can get in one world class mid fielder in the summer then I see know reason why we won't be challenging again next season.
Browning 425 clay hunter
Ireland's finest, you say neither team took controll, did u watch the second half. United had no shots on target created very few chances. We took half an hour to get going but when we did we were in full controll. there was only going to be one winner and the fact united set up for a draw showed a lack of confidence in the united camp. It's the blues to win now, funny how all uniteds experience and history hasn't stopped them possing the 8 point lead away

Fair enough we never had any shots on target but yous only had 3. That's hardly control. We could have gotten one chance at the end scored and that would of been it. Pointless talking about this tho, just hope the magpies win now or it will be a bad time for football to see a bunch of mercenarys win the title. They're all mercenarys mate cos if you ain't got money these days then your nothing! Well done to City I say. They wanted it more last night.I've never known Utd to have never had a shot on goal in any game I've seen them play! Browning 425 clay hunter
Ireland's finest. I agree city players are all mercenaries, I wish we had a player like Rooney who is there for the sole perpose of winning trophies, and definatley not the money, oh wait a minute didnt he say not that long ago he was leaving then a new contract made him change his mind. QUALITY I'm really not trying to start an argument but 60% possession, and as soon as we got the goal we made out midfield into a 5 and one up top, to protect our lead, pretty much the formation united set out with to be solid defensively and break on the counter was impenetrable. So I totally disagree about no team dominating and so did the pundits on MOTD and football first. United haven't played a game for 4 years I think without registering a single shot on goal up until last night, shows how solid we were and in controll. pontbeck
As a Geordie neutral, city looked shaky for the first 5 to 10 minutes, there after there was only going to be one winner as they took control of the game. A poor showing from united. We might do united a favour on Sunday but I wouldn`t count on it. Bill

Browning 425 clay hunter
Well I just want to say how happy I am with the result today. Not the easiest game on paper but our back line played very well especially kompany, Newcastle didn't really offer to much threat to our goal and in the end a comfortable win. And to YAYA TOURE, your very quickly becoming a city legend, goals in the semi final and final last season to win us our first trophy in recent times, and now these 2 massive goals today. What a beast he is. Good performance on the final day of the season and mIne and every other city fans dream will have come true. Unbelievable season. Ireland's Finest!
Looks like City finally have it. Still hard to believe we threw away an eight point lead we really did hand it to them. Not to despair tho we've been spoilt the last 20yrs with all the success we've had. Considering we've missed Vidic(argueably best defender in the league on his day) for most of the season along with Fletcher, Ando and Cleverly(for big parts of the season) and the fact that each of our first team players were missing through injury at some point in the season its amazing we'll only end up losing it on goal difference. One or two big singings during the summer and we'll be in with a shout again next season. Keep the red flag flying high!
bullet boy
Yep it certainly looks like the Blue part of Manchester will lift the title now!My mate Devon Fox will be seething when hes read this this!Only Utd to blame really though! As Irelands Finest has said Utd gave away an 8 point lead which is certainly not like Utd! It will break Utds's fans hearts to see City steal the title away from them!
