bigrob
Phone Tim Shayle at the Countryman gun shop in Westgate St - Glos. He runs the clay shoot at Kents Green near Newent. I think it's every fortnight. Bigrob.

SakoQuad
The obvious grounds have been mentioned already really, but just to add a bit more detail that might help - Coley's at 30p a clay - open each day apart from Sunday, later on Thursday, great ground with some stands to make you smile and others to make you weep! 18 stands now open I believe. You will pay for every clay though so no sighters unless you think its worth the cost! Cotswold Clay Club at Farmington Quarry, very friendly place, 10 stands regularly changed, 30p a clay or pay £50 membership and pay 20p a clay, open every Sunday 10 till 2pm Kents Green, details from Tim at The Countryman store Westgate St Glos. Open alternate Sundays generally. I understand ground is small but very popular with friends who usually shoot 50 Chesgrove in FoD, small ground, great place, I think costs around 24p or 26p per clay. Open every Sunday 10 till 2pm? Generally shoot 50 here South Worcestershire Clay Ground, open Wednesdays all year round and Sundays (morning only?) through the summer, I think they charge 28p per clay, some varied and challenging stands with a couple of high towers, looking forward to visiting this place again. Gloucester Skeet Club on Tewkesbury Rd. if you fancy trying your hand at skeet. Quite inexpensive but I can't recall cost accurately something like £4 a round? Open in the evening certainly on a Wednesday, I found the place a bit cliquey to be honest and have heard this from others who tried it but never felt ok there. I think it might be fun to go with mates and if you are a not a rank novice as I was at the time I tried it.

Do you ever go to keepers lodge ?? Hi Yep use to go to keepers lodge but a few years back now. Liked the idea of standing under cover when shooting, so was not to bad when it was raining Im going to have to try to get back into a bit of clay shooting throughout the summer

fruity
Well i shot keepers lodge today with a good score, but wasent that impressed compared to the other local grounds imho. Pretty expensive for what you get too. I got there at 10am and didnt take the gun out the slip for 50mins due to poor organisation, broken and empty traps, flat batteries which all caused queues 10 deep and you get to walk around in 2" of mud
Spaniel
sounds like it as gone down hill a bit.....was always a bit more organised then that
