eccles
Went for a quick walk this evening on a mountain not far from home.Spotted this vixen having a little hunt about 250ish,because it was still light thought calling would spook her.So took aim down she went.Sat for little while and spotted 2 cubs 100y further about 10 weeks old at a guess. So not happy waited till light faded for the dog no sign So its back out in a bit to see if i can finish them off or at least the dog.I'll have cubs tomorrow. So its the Archer on after a cuppa and back out again.

eccles
Up date Went up with the Archer sat above earth looking down hill 50% slope about 150y away. With in quarter of an hour out came 2 cubs followed by 3 more, another 10 mins or so out came 2 more a few minute later 2 more another few minutes 3 more. Got to be 2 litters usually here 5 or 6 max.Could not believe it watch them play for ages. After about an hour they all looked and went over the hump where an old hedge was. After a few minutes came back then i could see top half of big eyes not enough for a clear shot Same thing happened again about three quarters of an hour later So it will be a change of tactics tomorrow Hmr with archer for the cubs and 223 x Archer for parents. And find a better place to wait. You just cant see down over the bloody hump Really awkward place to get a safe shot,Where the earth is it safe. Hope the other vixen does not move them tonight or it will be hunting time

eccles
You'll get them Terry, I'm sure. Morning Steve i'm going to try my best.I've been fox hunting with hounds, and shooting as you know 40+ year, and never seen that many cubs in 1 earth.Had litters of 9 to 10 but that was when cubs where a week or so old which only 4 or 5 would live anyway These where all good lumps 10 + weeks at a guess.Maybe half where a bit older. I'll try to get a pic or two before i pop them off wish i'd had a good camera last night and taken pics of them. Its an awkward place to shoot If the dogs and vixen comes to the earth itself its easy and safe. worthy130
at 10 weeks + they will be feeding them out of the earths, so i would either get a terrier man in or bait the cubs.
