Dr_Scholl
Well said Sir. One of political histories biggest jokes is the American Revolution which was significantly funded by the French. Once the dust had settled and the yanks had thrown us out, instead of commencing a long and fruitful trade agreement with the French as a "thank you" for their financial input, the Americans went straight back to trading with the British since they could`nt stomach dealing with the cheese eating surrender monkeys. Gotta love history. The French weren't helping us out of the goodness of their hearts, they wanted to get even with Britain and regain some lost territory from the Seven Years War. While they did assist us in some campaigns, most notably in the Seige of Yorktown, retaking Savannha, and retaking Newport, their support was mostly naval. It makes sense that Anglo-American relations would eventually warm back up, since we share a common language and culture. And the French are just obnoxious.
