Blunderbuss
Stunning A question? Are you self taught, or have you done photography training or courses?
GREENGRASS
Stunning A question? Are you self taught, or have you done photography training or courses? Generally self taught it seemed a natural progression from shooting/hunting/ instead of a rifle I now shoot with a Canon, 7D that is. A lot of reading, observing, listening and trial and error. I have recently become a member of the local photography club which helps a great deal as they hold competitions and have guest speakers. I have been fortunate to have come across a few top photographers whilst out and about namely Mark Davis (Staffordshire) and Danny Green (Leicestershire) both have been approachable and helpful. Hope that helps GG

I take a lot of photos and every now and then one turns out OK, but I've no idea why I'd like to improve my hit rate. Your photos are a real pleasure to view and the the fact you're self taught is even more inspiring. It's nice to know you don't have to be a professional to turn out really good quality work Was your set up expensive if you don't mind me asking? In a word yes. :( However my first camera was from Aldi and I still use it now. Nutty taken with Canon 7d gripped, Sigma 500 prime lens. All mounted on tripod, gimble head. I utilise Photoshop CS5 and also Lightroom 4 when required. Hope that helps GG Thank you all for looking in and replies.
