browning123
Was all going well untill today i realised that my decoy bird was so clever it had managed to undo a shackle and open the lid all by itself...and obviously it then flew away! Livid. -.- I had a similar problem last year - not only was the call bird released but the traps were wrecked aswell!

Livid. -.- Have had the same, actually saw it done and confronted him..he was with his wife and 2 children and said they didn't like to see it in a cage typical so took the time to try and explain why..to no avail, even though he said he would rather see more songbirds. Yet he still thought it cruel, even though his Greyhound and Staffie where returning from chasing a Rabbit...so i made him look like the hypocrite he was We would be able to trap wayyyy more if only we could put the traps out without them being interfered with Hope you have another trap running and are able to replace the errr, escapee. Couldn't agree more. The times my traps have been meddled with are countless. That is why I always , if I can, keep a spare bird. webber
Brilliant effort. Please remember to add your Grey Squirrel kills to the PW running count. webber
nagantino
Great stuff. I watched 2 blackbirds playing in the garden yesterday. A magpie flew down and butchered the female. I mean butchered it! Feathers and flesh everywhere. Next time I'm out I will make it my business to kill as many as possible.
Harryrab
I had a similar problem last year - not only was the call bird released but the traps were wrecked aswell! Atleast...the trap is still in tact i guess...look on the bright side! Hope you have another trap running and are able to replace the errr, escapee. Uncle is on the way over with a replacement as we speak! Dont understand why people cant just leave traps alone...i know theyre trying to be humane and all that **** but they really have no idea!
