88b
Don't use fully synth as a friend found out to his cost.
gixer1
And don't us car engine oil! Motorcycle oil is a different make up altogether - car engine oil has friction reducers and will knacker a bikes wet clutch if used. biketestace
I run a ntv650 on car oil & so far its managed 110,000 miles........... But to be fair,i wouldnt use it in my z1000 ,use a quality 10-40 semi-synth oil(i use rockoil),suzi filter & change every 3000mls,you may get clutch probs(slipping)with full synth. Regardless of how many miles you did on it - it's the wrong oil for the job, most bikes are capable of 130+mph so why risk using the wrong items/oils in them?
