cocker3
well wnet out friday morning after finnishing work at midnight got to my ground at 3.45 but fog looked like it was going to stop play but decided to go for a walk anyway i walk walked a few fields looking for roe bucks and had blanked out when i came to a grass park and caught a glimps of a fox further down the field but it vanished into the fog with no shot offered and so ended the mornig stalk with no shot . so last night i thought i would have a look at the grass park to see if i could get the fox i arrived at 8.30 pm and set up in a likely spot and sat and waited it 10.30 pm the light had gone and i got the lamp out . now this field is not far from where i shot a litter of cubs and the parents a few weeks ago . at 11 pm i picked up a set of eyes about 300 yards away and after getting my new stalking sticks set up(thanks steve b wales yer a star) and a quick squeek it had covered 200 yards in jig time then it vanished and for 5 in i could not see it so kept sqeeking and all of a suden it reappered less the 80 yards away and was heading staight at me a quick shout and fox number 25 was grassed it was one of last years vixens in top form and quite big too .on the way out of the field at midnight i had a quick lamp and bang another set of eyes about 130 yards out back on the sticks and fox no26 was down a realy young cub about 8-9 weeks old very young for this time of year here .so all in all a cracking night didnt see the need to post a picture of the cub sorry and thanks for looking
