TomSteebs
AAHHHH CAN'T DECIDE WHICH PCP IF ANY TO GO FOR.....:confused: maybe another option that i haven't considered. for me it's like this; s410- a bit common with no massive advantage hw100- accurate and reliable but boring to shoot scorpion- compact and a good looking hunter r-10- a scorpion with a more shot's and just bigger more well finished s-10- an r-10 without a gauge, quickfill but to me better looking huntsman- an expensive scorpion x2- same as s410 but looks a bit better. merlyn- not really sure typhoon- looks not great but has the features for less. i not worried whether its regulated or not as my hw97 isn't i personally am looking mainly at hw100, scorpion, s-10 and maybe r-10's, why and what?..... thankyou tom Edited May 27, 2012 by TomSteebs
chrisjpainter
why does no one add the Air Arms S510 to these lists!? It's like a cross between the S410 and the HW100, so you get a side action like the HW, but with the handling of the S410. It's a bit more grown up than the S410 as well and definitely not common, so you get a bit of exclusivity. It's priced somewhere in the middle of the two and a lot lighter than the HW. good looking gun too. they do a twin cylinder version which gives you a shot capacity to rival the HW, but it looks pretty weird, so isn't one for the aesthetes out there! definitely have a look at it! http://www.ronniesunshines.com/index.php/guns-pistols-1/air-rifles/pre-charged-air-rifles/air-arms-s510-sl-air-rifle.html but if you can get down to a club and have a bash with some of your options that's gonna be the way to go. you're the one that has to live with it so get a good feel of them and have a play. I had a play with the HW100 and whilst it is a great gun, I found it just too heavy, so a lot of these things are personal preferences Edited May 27, 2012 by chrisjpainter

TomSteebs
so is it a new gun your going for or second hand? don't i've ever bought a new gun. probably used, i can get about £750 all together, but i would have nothing but pellets left. i can borrow a pump for a while of a friend but would need a scope and case at least
chrisjpainter
for £450-500 you could get a complete set up of something, especially if you're not after a pump immediately. trawl through sites like guntrader.co.uk and gunstar.co.uk as well as gunwatch.co.uk. and airgunforum.co.uk. If you're prepared to wait, you can get some great deals!
