I my self have been put off getting a hmr as where I wanted to use it will be pushing the range out to 150/200 yards wich I am told the Lil bullet will do easily but a bats **** will push me off course. A hornet or a 222 would be a better choice in this place I would think. And no more expensive to shoot Getting my feo to agree is a different matter tho. What are we looking at price wise per shot on the hornet ?

depends what you shoot. reloading

35gr vmax are 25p each £25/100.

40gr soft points 14p each £14/100

1lb powder £35 (i think) loads 600 shots

primers £xxx

costs me mabey 22/3p a shot. for soft points 11p more for vmax.

i dont know what stuff costs, its irrelevant to me. shootings a hobby and every time i pull the trigger i dont want to be thinking 50p/£1/£1.50 ect.

i love mine, rabbits at 250meters= easy

That's sounding very appealing to me, I am going to look at some specifics about the round and see if I can get a land clearance for it and veriation before I look any further. Thanks for the info :good:
