rcmh
Hi all, After a bit of clay pigeon shooting I've got the bug. Does anybody have any thoughts of the best place for me to learn how to shoot in the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire area? I'm near Hitchin if that helps. I was thinking some clay pigeon shooting to start with then there is plenty of rough shooting around here so I'd need to find out how to get involved... Any advice much appreciated! Thanks, Rob
lees
I did the 1st shots day here http://www.theshootinggrounds.co.uk/ a few weeks ago (I'd shot before but not for a few years) and I'm going back tomorrow for a lesson (my license hasn't come yet so I can't shoot on my own), I'm in the same area as you. rcmh
Sporting targets bedfordshire Thanks Ed - kicked off at Sporting Targets - was great and I would definitely go back. But ideally want to find somewhere a bit closer/further south!!
tbox
Hi Rob, If you want to learn the ropes with regards to decoying etc. and also get some good overall shooting advise, Bakerboy on here is Hitchin based, a great teacher and an all round top bloke. He took me out decoying when I was even greener than I am now and I learned loads. T-Box.
garjo
Lots of local clay shoots - Almshoe, Codicote, Lea Valley, Amwel, Nuthampstead (Walkern and Colliers End), Dunton, Maulden - missed some no doubt- email Terry Re: Bakerboy - he has lot of local contacts. I also go to Sporting Targets a lot - if you want lessons can recommend Ken Rist at Lea Valley (hertford). Good luck.
