fruity
Looking for the best way to repair an over size hole for the front stud on a wooden stock ? When you say oversized, how big are you talking ? you could glue a small piece of dowel in then re-thread or find a piece of wood to match your stock and do the same

steve_b_wales
If you are attaching a bipod, you could drill a small pilot hole near the original one, then screw the stud into it. The bipod base should then cover the original hole. Failing that, you could smear the stud screw with Araldite glue, put the stud into the hole and leave to dry. Araldite is a very strong glue, and will hold the stud in place. Steve.

barney 66
Why not get the stud with the machine thread and domed nut that goes on the inside of the stock,no threads to strip then
