My Brother-In-Law loves a good recession. People stop having their cars serviced, but funnily enough they get more breakdowns...and he makes so much more money out of repairs than servicing
Lord Geordie
Before pressing the button and getting on with your life, make a few basic checks before your wallet gets a hammering. When is the Timing belt due? It goes on 2 factors. Mileage or Age. If it's been on and only done 10,000 miles but over 3 year you still need to replace it. If you dont you could be inviting a hefty repair bill. When was your brake fluid checked and renewed last? When was the Oil and filter changed last? When was the Air filter last changed? A blocked filter will make the engine use more fuel. There are a lot of things to check from major parts to the simple things like wiper blades. Ignoring a service light to save a few pounds may cost you dear in the long term.
