I've been reading quite a few post in regards to gaining shooting permission and thought id try some of your suggestions out for my self

firstly logged onto yell.co.uk

did a search for farmers in and around my area

then sent every farm a letter stating who i was what i was looking for etc etc etc

i had three replys (20 letters)

one was sorry we cant help , might no someone who can

one was sorry my land is taken by a syndicate

and then there was the last one , recieved a call on my moby from a farmer who lives 5 miles away from me asking if i could go and see him , not a problem i said time arranged and feeling chipper i drove off to meet the farmer

on getting there he was working on the bailer in one of the fields , so i made may way over

having problems are we ? yep bloody things knackered again , that was all i needed to here , quick call to my father in law , over he came fixed the job whilst i spoke with the farmer

now we have permission for the two of us to use 800 acres of his land as and when we please as long as we are safe with what we do.

i asked the farmer if he had any major vermin problems and his reply was if it moves shoot it !!!!

cant wait to get started

thanks to all and everyone for there tips and hints
