sja90
Hi all, Went to a Beretta & Browning open day yesterday, run by one of my local gun shop. I was going there to try out the various Maxus models as I was really keen on the Browning semi-auto, I got on ok with them but they didn't seem quite right. I then had a go with the Beretta A400 Xplor 'Action', which is essentially the same as the 'Light' but a little bit heavier. I got on great with it, felt well balance and fitted well, I then tried the Light which just felt too light. Anyways, the gun will be used primarily for Pigeon shooting and the odd day on the clays, I was wondering if any of you have tried / own the Xplor Action and could let me know what you think, as there is not a lot online about it at all, as I think it is fairly new. The one I tried was a 28" with Kick Off, they didn't have the non Kick Off model. The Kick Off seemed ok to me, but I know some dont like it so I would be interested to hear peoples opinions on this as well, Thanks, Simon
Fenlander
I have an Explor Unico with kick off,and absolutly love the gun. The way it is balanced, and the way it handles is better than any other semi I have tried. A brilliant all round gun ,that i use on Pigeons, clays, and for wildfowling. If you do get one I don,t think you will regret it.

sja90
Think I am going to putting down my deposit on the xplor action tomorrow, before I do so any other opinions on the gun and in particular whether to go with the kick off or not? Thanks Edited June 25, 2012 by sja90
john12
I have had one for abit how and use it on everything from clays to wild fowling and have had no problems with it. Mine is the non kick off version but I have never had any problems with recoil even when using 3 1/2 loads. Hope that helps.
retromlc
I've had 2 A400 unico's at the same time one with it and one without, 1: an auto doesn't need a kick off system unless you plan to shoot 100 sporting clays with 56 grm loads' and,2: I felt the non kick-off was better balanced.
