beatingisbest
If its FAC you will need a slot in order to buy, plus a slot on your sons licence to transfer it to

Sticky96
I am now 16 but neither of my parents hold certificates, if I posses a SGC can my parents "gift" me a shotgun for my own possession despite them not owning Shotguns themselves? finreid
sticky, im not 100%, but im pretty sure that they person giving you a shotgun must be a SGC holder themselves. Call your firearms officer! he will know for certain!

Sticky All transfers have to pass between either the holder of a valid cert or an RFD. So, to answer your question, your parents cannot. Sorry!
