bjlfishing
as title im curious as to how far shot travels for example i have a field pretty close to houses on all four sides that last year was covered in pigeons once the wheat was cut now the closes house id guess will be 600 yards away i never shot it last year due to these curcumstances instead i chose fields further away but after a few weeks the pigeons clocked on and every pigeon in the area was on the field i mean hundreds and hundreds so this year i plan on shooting it but if im going to be upsetting house owners with pellets dropping on there house etc ill not bother
M.I.A
Plenty of info on the net re this, you will get mixed answers but 600 yards is plenty far enough away for no 6 shot

Are you sure it's 600 yards though? Stick the field on Google Earth and measure it to be sure. 350 yards should be enough room if you're using normal pigeon loads. Go and shot it and enjoy your self, just make sure the farmer is aware of what you are doing. Where it goes wrong is your get stuck in and blazing away and don’t realize where the noise is landing….
