utectok
Ok 52 plate hilux on the motorway and diff lock light came on?! Fiddled about in service station in and out of low box and it went off. Came on again also while travelling at say 60mph.. Electrics? Can't see how the mechanics can get engaged at speed? Any ideas? The abs light came on to but that always does if diff lock is on. Cheers Will
al4x
could be a wiring issue, I trashed my towbar electric socket a while back, abs light came on a short while later then all sorts of weird and wonderfully worrying lights.
Penfolio
I had the same sort of problem with my Mitsi. Problem was down to a dirty/damaged diff sensor.
utectok
Recon it's the sensor as it was massive rain on the motorway yesterday and today although I just pootled around town it seems fine?
Rosebank22
i had this with my mitsu l200 02 i have just changed the diff lock vacuum actutator below the air filter as the mechanic found out that one side was dead.
utectok
Mmm might be diff lock vacumthing as it turns off with fiddling then comes back on an hour or do driving later
utectok
Ok I read that As it happens on the motorway it could be the diff is heating up and pressurising that would push the vacume diaphragm and engage the diff lock. In other words diff breather blocked. I cleared the diff breather that was pretty gummed up so we shall see? Btw I am a complete novice so if the above makes no sense let me know i just read it on a forum and it made sense as it happens on longer runs Edited July 1, 2012 by utectok
