stubby
so I've become a beekeeper now, a little under 3 weeks, collected my first swarm back in june and housed them in a homemade top bar hive, then 4 days ago had a friend phone about another swarm, this time it was put in a homemade 6 frame nuc, at first they clustered outside, untill another friend helped me find the queen and encouraged them all inside, saw pollen being taken in after the 3rd day, fingers crossed they stay finding the queen

stubby
a lot has happened since this first post here, I know have 2 strong colony's and 1 dwiddling one (queenless) I have a national and small top bar hive in the garden, but better still, had an offer of an apairy at a local allotment, which now has a homemade 4ft top bar hive on it, including a swarm that I collected from the allotments, although I dont expect to take any honey this year as building up stores for winter, hopefully I'll have 2 strong hives for next year, then do splits/artificial swarms, http://youtu.be/Ud-zvW_0eGY
ack-ack
I have several. There's one in the office, one in the kitchen and a dead one in the car but I still get a buzz out of it.
stubby
a short clip of me inspecting the top bar hive (home made) at my apiary, and trying to educate a few committee members, I probably could have inspected without the bee suit, as my girls are very dolcile http://youtu.be/li9obrnaRZE
whitehackle
I have kept bee's in the past, and am now thinking of getting back into it. Got all the gear, just need to find a swarm!
