Cranfield
Nothing beats a face to face meeting with the landowner to obtain shooting permission, they want to see who is shooting on their land (and also to access your suitability). A card with name, telephone number, BASC/CA/etc membership number, licence number and any other info is great to leave with the landowner, so they can contact you if they have a specific problem and it also gives them a record of who you are. bedwards1966
Sorry for butting in but If you was to make your own cards what would you put on it?? Fully insured. Anything else your prepared to shoot (e.g rats - if your prepared to shoot then that's a good sign). Availability (weekdays?). Might be an idea to remove the word 'free'. See what others think, but if something is advertised strongly as free then it makes you think it can't be any good. Remember, leaving cards on it's own won't do much good. Having a meeting and, when they say no, then leaving a card is the way forward. When they then have a think about it, or see their crops getting hammered they then might just dig up the card and give you a call, but they need to have met you and consider you to be OK first.
